HR Tech Stack Selection & Implementation
Choose, configure and roll out the platforms that automate the admin and surface the data you need.
HR Professional · Kathmandu, Nepal
I'm Yogina Shakya. I help scaling companies in Nepal and abroad set up the HR foundations — tech, policy, process and culture — so their people teams can spend less time on admin and more time on people.
Who I am
It started in a call center. In my very first job, I found myself in awe of the HR colleagues running interviews and training sessions — at the center of workplace camaraderie while quietly carrying the organisation behind the scenes.
Five years into my career, I took the leap into HR at an IT company with no academic background in the field — learning everything on the job. On reflection, it was one of the best decisions of my life.
HR professionals are often the ones who need help, so that they can in turn help others.
The promise of HR is to bring out the best in people. But in practice, HR teams drown in administrative work before they ever get to that promise. That's the gap I work in: I build the systems, policies and culture documentation that free HR teams to do the work that matters.
Selecting and implementing the right stack for your stage and size.
Clear, compliant policies people actually read and use.
Documenting how you work so culture scales with headcount.
Practices that keep people healthy, engaged and growing.
What I do
From your first HR hire to your hundredth employee — practical, hands-on consulting built around where your company is right now.
Choose, configure and roll out the platforms that automate the admin and surface the data you need.
Employment policies written for your context — practical, fair and ready for sign-off.
Onboarding to offboarding, mapped and documented so nothing depends on memory.
A clear-eyed review of where you stand against labour requirements, and a plan to close the gaps.
Capture the values and ways of working that make your company yours — before scale dilutes them.
Targeted engagements on any aspect of HR, scoped to a clear outcome and timeline.
Experience
From the front desk to leading People Operations — every role added another layer to how I build HR functions today.
Driving employee engagement and HR projects across Daraz Nepal as HR Business Partner.
Led the People Operations team across HR, finance and general operations — creating an enabling work environment as the company grew.
Helped clients develop people strategies and advised on the design and delivery of global HR transformation programmes.
Sourced talent, signed clients, negotiated deals and mentored juniors — building the trust it takes to bring great people on board.
Implemented global HR initiatives, supported staffing and performance, promoted a positive culture and tightened work processes.
Kept operations running — records, budgets, inventory — and discovered that managing the people side of work was the part I loved.
